There is something particularly fulfilling for me about documenting maternity sessions. Maybe it's the fact that I've always wanted to be a Mom. Whenever folks asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I replied "a Mom". And that still rings true today.
I think I'm just so inspired by the concept of carrying a life and creating a family.
I got connected with Ehvyn & Nate through a mutual friend and former client and I'm incredibly grateful.
These two broke out their monochromatic complementary outfits on one of the coldest days of this winter and ran around The Yards Park with me.
I actually live in Navy Yard and love it dearly, so I'm always excited when couples want to document a part of their lives here. It's one of my favorite neighborhoods of Washington, DC.
We started on the street behind Vida Fitness and Jeni's Ice Cream, which I naturally daydreamed about incorporating into the session, but it was far too chilly for that.
Ehvyn & Nate were troopers in the cold but we ended up finishing up the session inside Philz Coffee when all of our digits felt like they were literally going to fall off.
