photos that feel familiar even when you weren't there

THE EXPERIENCE

I'm here to protect how this day lives in your memory.

1

My philosophy is people first, photos second; I pride myself in my decidedly human-first approach. After you inquire, I kick things off by getting to know you — I have a video call with every couple that clicks submit on my contact form. Although this happens to be my job, I don’t view weddings or sessions as work, but rather as a shared human experience. Getting to know you humanizes our relationship, helps me to better tell your story and makes everything a lot more fun.

Once we’re official (contract signed and retainer received), I’m here to be a resource for you during planning. This could look like you sending me reception outfit options and me “hearting” every single one OR us having an informed conversation about how you can successfully enter your reception via sailboat. Whatever it may be, I’m here to support.

During your wedding, I am neither a fly on the wall nor am I an orchestrator. I’m not going to be small and quiet, but I also won’t be disruptive.  To borrow a line from one of my brides: "I feel allergic to the idea of standing around posing all day," so we certainly won't be doing that. My style hinges on my active involvement and participation. I'll snag a mini crab cake during cocktail hour while chatting with your college friends and capturing candids. And when the dance floor opens, you’ll find me in the middle of it. The intent is that your family and your guests see me as a human, a friend, part of the event. They won’t forget that I’m there, but they will forget that I have a camera. The result?  Photos that feel like you.

After your wedding, I’ll carefully go through each image, editing and delivering the very best ones. “Best” is defined as anything fridge, wall, album or phone lock screen worthy — anything you’d want to show future generations.

I edit true-to-life because my priority is preserving your day as it was; my style is in service of protecting your memories. Think of me as more of a historian or journalist than a novelist. I value honest storytelling — my editing shouldn’t change how the moment felt to experience in real time.

My top priority is true skin tones, and I base all of my exposure adjustments and color corrections on that.

What happens post-delivery? If we end up friends, huge bonus! I don't work with people I wouldn't want to befriend anyway. It’s not uncommon for me to grab drinks or go for a run with my past couples. This also extends to their friends and family, who have in the past invited me to Thanksgiving dinner, various sporting events and outings. But my absolute favorite thing is seeing past wedding couples at future weddings.

If all of this has you saying “hell yeah”, then let’s chat.

Maggie is absolutely EVERYTHING you want in a wedding photographer.

Maggie is absolutely EVERYTHING you want in a wedding photographer. Her images are stunning. She has an incredible ability to capture the essence of a moment or a room and our engagement and wedding photos turned out more beautiful than we could have ever imagined!

When interviewing potential wedding photographers, we clicked with Maggie right away, and it's hard not to! She has a warm, loving and welcoming personality that put us -- and our family and friends -- at ease. Maggie was communicative throughout our entire wedding planning process, answering our questions, making recommendations and giving us her professional opinion, which was invaluable.

It rained A LOT on our wedding day and Maggie was the one who kept spirits high, made a plan and kept us on schedule. I am obsessed with how our family and bridal party shots turned out. Maggie also knows how to capture the candid moments -- especially on the dance floor, and we can't wait to revisit these photos in years to come.

Hire Maggie, you will absolutely not regret it

I couldn't recommend Maggie enough!

As a working professional in the film and television industry, I had high expectations when searching for a photographer to capture our wedding story. Maggie exceeded all of them!

She was incredibly professional, yet fun and personable, throughout the entire experience. Of all our vendors, she was the easiest to communicate with. We had a specific vision for how our photos would look, and she nailed it.

All of our photos (film, polaroid, and digital) are beautiful and high quality. The fact that she also offers to shoot on film was a game-changer for us. Our photos were easy for us and our family to access, download, and have printed. My Instagram feed has never looked better! We’ve hung up many of her photos throughout our house and will cherish them forever.
